DVD for 12 year old 'but not kids film'

DD has asked for a DVD in her stocking - but specified not a kids' film. She's a big fan of Pixar and Ghibli but obviously thinks she's outgrown them (for now - I'm sure she'll rediscover her love for them later.) Recent hits have been The Princess Bride, Hidden Figures, Big Eyes and unexpectedly, Moonrise Kingdom (she'd loved Wes Anderson's animated films but I thought this might be too odd.) I've been looking at other Wes Anderson but his other stuff all seems to be 15 cert. She's definitely not interested in the romcom/ high school transformation movies all her friends like so is expecting recommendations from me.

So I'm looking for a 12 or PG, preferably a bit quirky, film - a bit of swearing is ok but nothing violent or sexual. I considered Little Miss Sunshine but a rewatch reminded me why it's a 15. So far I've only come up with Hunt for the Wilder People - any other ideas?

Another vote for Amelie here - some very tame and short sex stuff at the start and then a bloody delight from there onwards.

Big Fish, The hunger games, The invention of lying, Tommorowland.

Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children, Dark shadows, The imaginarium of doctor parnassus (you might feel slightly too old for her), The Aeronauts should be out on dvd by Christmas if she hasn't seen it yet.

Also, if she likes anime then I can recommend the films Your Name, The Girl Who Leapt Theough Time and Summer Wars (all are rated 12).
