What movie was this?

I have a memory of a movie, which I think is a 90s thriller. The main character is female and she falls in love with a builder/carpenter who is renovating her house/(apartment?). He builds himself an internal hiding place where he spies on her.

I thought it was quite a well-known film, but I cannot remember the name of it when I google it!

Definitely not The Resident.

Michael Keaton and Sharon Stone are good shouts but I can't find the movie. It reminds of the Pacific Heights era!

No, not Sliver. He was physically watching her rather than on screens. Right era/type of film though.

I absolutely love 90s thrillers 😂. Have been introducing DH to Malice/Hand That Rocks the Cradle/Dead Calm!

tbf a lot of 90s film I watched in the late 90s & the 00s as i was born in the 80s. I enjoyed them but maybe i have crap taste!
