Harry Potter Anyone?

Loved Luna and Bellatrix. Sirius is still and will always be wrong

The only 2 bits I got narked by this time were quidditch (or lack of) and Cho Chang - there is editing and changing

Other than that its the Harry Potter I have enjoyed the most at the cinema (although to be fair it is the one I've left the longest gap between book and film so I can't remember as much and play spot the changes!).

One question though - Harry and the cardigan... WHY?!?!!

Oh yes, forgot Bellatrix - she was perfect too.

can anyone advise..
hubby is away and haven't been able to take two boys (14 & 10 ) who are desperate !!!
i have near 5 year old who loves Dr Who but i think this will be too much.
I am kidding myself arn't I? she is too young?

janeitebus · 12/08/2007 17:03

Yes I think she would be bored, if not scared.

MrsWeasley · 12/08/2007 17:12

well it depends on the child really. Has she seen the other HP films if so she should be ok. Nothing worse in these ones really.

took my 6 yo and he loved it and wasnt at all scared.

MrsWeasley · 12/08/2007 17:17

oh I should add that when we saw it (both times) the cinema was full with every age range from tiny tots to old grannies

pinkteddy · 12/08/2007 17:21

Agree with Cali fudge about the 2 versions! Loved Luna and Umbridge spot on. Alan Rickman great as usual, but his scenes were too short and the flashback too short. Also they should have shown them clearing out Grimmauld (sp?) place - how will they sort out the locket connection and Kreacher later on?? Also DA coins for the meetings missing - oversight IMVHO. Apart from that good!

DixiePixie · 12/08/2007 17:25

I really missed the DA coins too - and also thought there should be more reference to The Quibbler.

Am I the only one who thought "wrong, all wrong" about the portrayal of Bellatrix?

Not to mention Tonks (although, to be fair, the poor actress wasn't given much to go on)

DixiePixie · 12/08/2007 17:28

And as for the battle in the end - in the book I thought that JKR had obviously written it bearing in mind that there would be a film - it was so cinematic. Thought loads of opportunities were wasted in the film for that.

DixiePixie · 12/08/2007 17:29

Having said that, I actually did enjoy the film
