What films that you have watched this year have been your favourites and has stuck with you?

My top three films that I watched this year would have to be:
1.bohemian rhapsody

  1. call me by your name
  2. three billboards outside ebbing, Missouri

The films don’t have to of been released this year, they could be classics that you have finally watched in 2018.
Just trying to find some film inspiration so I can binge watch films over Christmas.

Loved Three Billboards, Frances Dormand is a genius

Watching.

I haven't seen many films in this year...but thought Blackklansman was amazing, the end is genuinely horrifying as I don't really follow current affairs and had no idea this had happened. Made me feel sick with grief at the hatred.
I liked a quiet place and i Tonya, didn't get the love for ladybird...wish I hadn't bothered.
I haven't watched greatest showman, hope it lives up to the hype, might watch it tomorrow night as I'm home looking after the kids.

Bohemian Rhapsody
The Greatest Showman
Three Billboards...

Also an old one but Fargo on Netflix. Frances Dormand plays the chief cop and is flawless! Worth watching for the last line of the film alone.

Aquaman

I've been catching up with a month of Sky movies on Now TV. Loved 'The Shape of Water' which was an unexpected pleasure with a powerful ending.
Also loved 3 billboards and Christopher Robin made me cry!

ikltownofboothlehem · 01/01/2019 13:07

Enjoyed Mission Impossible Fallout last night.

fussychica · 26/01/2019 23:43

Three Billboards
Ladybird
Train to Busan

I laughed most at The Bodyguards Bodyguard with Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L Jackson. Totally bonkers comedy action movie with a high body count.

Lorie523 · 08/02/2019 08:44

Venom, Bohemian Rhapsody, and The Avengers are perhaps the best films for me in 2018.

notacooldad · 08/02/2019 08:51

I'm suprised at the love for 3 billboards. I didn't really like it.
I haven't been to the cinema much but the films I have seen are Bohemian Rhapsody, Stan and Ollie, a star is born and Vice. I've enjoyed them all
From my dvds I've re watched Wave, a German film that I really enjoyed, Hedwig and the angry inch, a few Hitchcock ones, Harold and Maud and my old favourite Hoover.
I watched Film stars don't die in Liverpool and the Lady in the van. Both were ok but I'm glad i dudnt go to the cinema for them.

notacooldad · 08/02/2019 08:52

Ha ha! I pressed post and then noticed a mistake.
