I want to browse through films and just pick one to watch.
Not on Netflix.
Where would you look?

Have you seen Cake from 2014, Jennifer Aniston. I watched it after someone on here recommended it. The trailer:

Lion, Dev Patel

The Fundamentals of Caring, Paul Rudd

Hell or High Water is very good. That should still be on Prime.

I miss video shops. I loved them. My mum used to work in one. It was the coolest place on Earth as far as I was concerned.

Also on Prime: Edge of 17 and Lion (this made me cry a lot though).

A classic, but a great one: LA Confidential.

Just watched A Man called Ove on Prime

  • just wonderful (although you might need a tissue, or at least I did)

Just watched Conjuring 2. Very enjoyable.

I guess I’m just really lucky because we have a blockbuster type place near us!!!! You can rent films and games. And they have penny sweets omg it’s so nostalgic. I mostly use netflix though and IMDB stuff I think might be good (and then am really disappointed that it has bad reviews)

Vitalogy · 11/02/2018 02:49

Just watched A Man called Ove on Prime Looks good that. Seems Tom Hanks is going to do a version too.

If anyone lives in Bristol, they have a video/dvd shop.

Anyone remember Ritz Video, it was around before Blockbuster.

That looks good. I think I will get it out next week.

JenniferYellow I'm certainly no prude but Amazon is teaming with soft porn and some quite sexist shite. I seem to come across it more when I'm on the iPad rather than tv, like when I keep clicking on related movies, or things 'other customers have watched'. There's so much naff filth on there (really awful looking Z-movies, seriously) that I once considered cancelling my subscription. Sick of seeing it all rather than the good options, and some of it just seems offensive to women. I was searching for mother! the other week and it brought up some soft porn related stuff instead about two naughty mums or something, which relates to even more of the crap. Not a lot for women either At least you could avoid the shelf in your shop 😂

There's so many shitty horror B movies on Amazon too, don't get me started.

I prefer the content on Netflix, and Now tv is good too. I find it's so much easier to scroll through stuff using the PlayStation pad (we stream everything through PS4) rather than a remote control. Using Netflix on my mums tv with the remote drives me absolutely nuts. Grin

I do miss my youth browsing in blockbuster but it would be way too expensive for my viewing habits nowadays Grin
