I am quite excited about this one. It looks visually stunning and I am looking forward to seeing it next week.

It is an epic length of 2hrs 45 minutes.

Couple of things I didn’t get. What was up with the bees in Vegas? They made a big deal about the lack of plant life (and Vegas is a desert) so how we’re they surviving? Replicant bees? Also why make replicants that breathe so can drown?

ButtMuncher · 17/11/2017 19:17

Ginger - I have to admit that went through my mind right at the point in which it happened! Maybe something about them having to be so lifelike? I'm not sure. Unlike most android/AI movies they've always made the replicants seem fallible, in that they are not immortal, hence their commodity of sorts.

DaysofWineandNeurosis · 18/11/2017 14:29

Ginger. The replicants are biological not robots. They are gene manipulated clones which is why one was able to reproduce and why they can drown.

I have no idea about the bees though. I wondered if they were symbolic and I just wasn't clever enough to get it. 😆

Ah thanks Days! That makes sense now.
