Was watching Mrs Doubtfire a film I've always loved with my dcs the other day and looking at it now it's pretty creepy. Maybe I'm just looking into it to much.

I also never realised that grease was about teenage pregnancy ect.

I was coming onto say Mrs Doubtfire - as much as i adore robin Williams. Can you imagine the thread in Relationships and the reaction if a exDH did that in real life.
The other for me is Bugsy Malone. Watched it with the DCs the other day and was a bit Hmm at the innuendo but I guess it went over their heads like it did with mine when I saw it first time round.

As a child I always found Pinocchio confusing and didn't have a clue what was going on but really get what you mean since seeing it again.

When I was young I wanted the video (so old) of the litte mermaid for my birthday. I maybe should have mentioned it was the Disney one as my parents got me another version where she kills herself at the end and not a singing crab in sight!

I always loathed pinocchio .
Have you look closely at roald dahl stories I refused to read them to kids but they did watch the films weird stories

Yeah, the original Little Mermaid story is very dark!

The circus bit in Pinocchio is horrible. It's actually like a nightmare.

It's awful especially the part where the boy is crying for his mama! I know it's a warning for children to behave or (as my mum used to say) you'll be taken away.

Grease is a funny one. It does have a PG rating but at first glance looks totally innocent.

So you watch it at 4 and love it. Watch it at 14 and love it. Watch it at 24 and love it. Then watch it at 34 and think, 'Holy crap. WTF am I watching?'

I watched Disney alice in wonderland with dd yesterday. I know the book is obviously fantastical but purely from a child watching the film point of view...a bit scary! Especially all the playing cards going off to gave their heads chopped off.
