Independence Day is on on Film. It's a terrible pile of hokum, but I can't help loving it.! What films do you love that you know that anyone of taste really shouldn't? Grin

"Moonstruck" (1987) with Cher and Nicholas Cage...don't like either of them overmuch but you don't have to. Set in New York with wonderful shots of some lovely old brownstone houses and waterside views, including of course some poignant ones of the World Trade Centre.
Cher is a 30 something widow who's agreed to marry a dull and dreary bloke. He heads off to Sicily to tend to his 'dying' mother leaving Cher to invite his long estranged brother to the wedding. They promptly end up in bed then going to La Boheme at the Met. It's a really fun, affectionate portrayal of a dysfunctional Italian family...New York has rarely looked lovelier.
Same venue, same era.."Working Girl"...seen it far too many times...still love the sig tune and Mr oh so Handsome and Decent Harrison Ford.

Serendipity with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale
Conair with John Cusack (is there a theme here? Smile)
The Day after Tomorrow
Moonstruck (saw it years ago but would watch it again)
Die Hard movies
YY to Independence Day

Don't know if it's a guilty pleasure but re-watched Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil - was on late one night last week. Wonderfully wacky with some great lines "it's like Gone with the Wind on mescaline" Again, it's John Cusack and Kevin Spacey.
