Independence Day is on on Film. It's a terrible pile of hokum, but I can't help loving it.! What films do you love that you know that anyone of taste really shouldn't? Grin

Oh and First Wives Club and Twister.

hopefulpuffin · 29/12/2014 10:14

I'm so glad someone else said Battleship. I love virtually all the movies that've been listed but the whole scene with the WWII vets prepping the USS Missouri to take out the aliens set to Thunderstruck gets me every freakin' time. Mostly because my DDad (he was no spring chicken when I came along) was in the navy during WWII and served on the USS North Carolina and one of the veterans is wearing a North Carolina hat. First time I watched it I had to rewind to verify. Now every time it's on I feel obligated to sit and watch.

Taylor Kitsch ain't so bad either....

ScrambledEggAndToast · 29/12/2014 10:20

Another one for Love Actually also love Pretty Woman and Legally Blonde.

sara11272 · 29/12/2014 10:23

Definitely agree with Dirty Dancing

Pretty Woman (has nobody said that yet?!)

Pretty in Pink

Annie

The Bodyguard - though a bit sad watching it now Whitney's dead

If they ever made a film length Homes under the Hammer I think that would usurp Dirty Dancing in the top spot, though.

sara11272 · 29/12/2014 10:24

I have seen 27 Dresses more times than I care to mention and will happily sit and watch it EVERY time it is on the telly, which seems to be about once every 2 months. ??
My husband and I recently sat and watched some Hayley and Hilary Duff tripe - 'Beauty and The Briefcase was particularly enjoyable, (though I must say we were suffering from extreme sleep deprivation with a newborn and sick toddler!)
