To start an animated films appreciation thread because I'm a soppy git?

Feeling a bit nostalgic...Smile

I'm in my twenties, getting married in a few months and starting to think about ttc in the next year or so. My fiancé and I both come from Disney loving families and we watch animated films together at least twice a week. We have tons of Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks/Bluth films on DVD and the thought of possibly watching these films with our own children one day is making me feel all fluffy and daft haha Grin

So yeah, let's have a break from all the doom and gloom and talk Disney!

The Muppet Christmas Carol is my favourite christmas film! We still watch it on VHS every christmas eve.

My neighbour Totoro is a wonderful film! I bought it for my friend's two year old and she is the only person who can watch it more often than me ...

Anything by Studio Ghibli! The animation, musical score and stories break and warm the heart!!

MrsTerryPratchett · 18/11/2014 20:25

I think I am you, Thunderbolt. I have an embarrassing array of Muppet Christmas Carol on various formats and ADORE Studio Ghibli. Clearly you are the voice of reason. Grin

MrsTerryPratchett [Grin] You have excellent taste!

Just thought of another - James and the Giant Peach!

I can't wait until my son wants to watch films, hopefully he will love them as much as I do.

Awww Thunderbolt, Muppet Christmas Carol is my favourite festive treat. It isn't Christmas in my family until Scrooge gets that red scarf off Beaker and we all start crying!

Hello we’re sweeping this thread into our Fims topic, but OP if you’re not happy please do let us know.

I think the start to up when you see them marry etc is one of the most poignant starts to a film that has never been beaten for me

Also love animation films!
