Feeling a bit nostalgic...Smile

I'm in my twenties, getting married in a few months and starting to think about ttc in the next year or so. My fiancé and I both come from Disney loving families and we watch animated films together at least twice a week. We have tons of Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks/Bluth films on DVD and the thought of possibly watching these films with our own children one day is making me feel all fluffy and daft haha Grin

So yeah, let's have a break from all the doom and gloom and talk Disney!

Fwiw, a few of my favourite animated films are:

Beauty and the Beast (all time favourite, I thought I was Belle for the first seven years of my life)
The Little Mermaid
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
The Great Mouse Detective
Robin Hood
Tangled
Frozen
All Dogs Go to Heaven
The Secret of NIHM
Watership Down
The Last Unicorn
The Road to El Dorado
The Prince of Egypt
Ratatouille
UP

I also love all of the Muppets films Smile

You're not alone in this, I have an entire folder full of animated films Grin

Are you another person who weeps at animated films? I just can't help myself... I think the only one I don't cry at is Sleeping Beauty! My favourites are The Little Mermaid, The Secret of NIHM, Pocahontas, Monsters Inc. and Wall-E (and I cry at all of them!).

Nicename · 18/11/2014 19:22

The nightmare before Christmas. Anything with the muppets. The polar bear (blubfest).

Bulbasaur · 18/11/2014 19:26

blub ... DH came home from work and thought something had happened because my eyes were all puffy lol >.

WooWooOwl · 18/11/2014 19:31

I can't believe you've made a list of the best animated films and not said Jungle Book, or toy story!

I also love The little mermaid, frozen, Aladdin, Cars, Lion King.

Staying at Disney world next year, am already looking forward to the parade!

TheFluffiestOfAll · 18/11/2014 19:32

Eeeek! When "Aquarium" is played at the start of Beauty and the Beast and you can see the castle from the forest and all the stained glass images on the screen Grin!

Arthur Christmas. Awesome. Love all the Pixar too-definitely not forgetting the shorts. And does the Snowman count?

KingStannis · 18/11/2014 19:58

Not the best ones WooWooOwl, just my personal favourites Smile. Oh yes, peachgirl I unashamedly cry at almost all of them! Just been bawling at The Secret of NIMH yet again with my other half and now we're debating whether to watch The Princess and the Frog or The Lion King Grin. Gluttons for punishment!

FeckTheMagicDragon · 18/11/2014 20:02

I cried at How to Train your Dragon 2. Surrounded by kids. None of them mine.

GeordieRose · 18/11/2014 20:05

We went to see How to Train your Dragon 2 and bawled in the cinema, same with Frozen.

Agh yes on board with this thread!

37 years old, no kids and no shame! I love them.

All of the above, but mostly, Finding Nemo, Up, Monsters Inc, Pixar anything, Dreamworks anything...it's like comfort food or being wrapped up in a blanket.

Smile
PiratesLifeForMe · 18/11/2014 20:09

How to train your dragon. On a date, tears. Loved it ??

WooWooOwl · 18/11/2014 20:09

PiratesLifeForMe · 18/11/2014 20:13

Polar express, saved it for Christmas Eve a couple of years ago, lovely Smile

Thunderbolt · 18/11/2014 20:13

I used to watch Ferngully almost every day when I was little!

I love Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service and other Studio Ghibli films.

Anastasia! I still know all the songs. Same for Pocahontas.

The Brave Little Toaster, The Iron Giant, The Road To El Dorado, The Swan Princess... Sooo many films that I love!

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 18/11/2014 20:13

Another Arthur Christmas fan here. Also Epic - quite underrated, but a film I really liked.

Also have a lot of the stuff mentioned above in my collection Smile
