The Mist.
I just sat there in silence for ages after!

gingerboy1912 · 06/12/2015 19:31

The others

lljkk · 06/12/2015 20:14

Vertigo, 39 Steps. You can't beat a bit of Hitchcock for Plot twists, frankly.

lljkk · 06/12/2015 20:16

The Third Man, too.

alwaystimeforcoffee · 08/12/2015 08:58

Memento's a brilliant film with a brilliant twist if you've not seen it

It's one of Christopher Nolan's (directed Inception, the Dark Knight trilogy) earlier works and is well worth a watch

bruffin · 08/12/2015 09:11

I know its a zombie thread but think Storynanny 's film is Derailed with Jwnnifer Anniston and Clive Owen

bruffin · 08/12/2015 09:14

Rereading it is not Derailed, but that film has a good plot twist

WhoisLucasHood · 08/12/2015 09:15

I love the prestige and inside man.

SheGotAllDaMoves · 08/12/2015 09:17

Gone Baby Gone

Pootles2010 · 08/12/2015 09:21

Dusk till dawn, biggest twist of them all i reckon! Or maybe I'm just a bit slow Grin

MrsJamesFraser · 13/12/2015 13:35

The Drop
Gone Girl
Gone Baby Gone

swisscheesetony · 13/12/2015 13:39

storynanny Reese Witherspoon in Freeway?

ElasticPants · 15/12/2015 19:47

Stonehearst Asylum.

Beautifully done twist. You think you are in on it, but you really aren't.

VulcanWoman · 15/12/2015 19:55

I agree with Unbreakable.
Alfred Hitchcock twists too.
Rear Window.

iklboo · 15/12/2015 19:58

Moon is pretty good, too - with Sam Rockwell. Directed by David Bowie's son Duncan Jones.

Touchacat · 16/12/2015 17:15

Love this thread!
Probably already mentioned but Arlington Road stays with me. Bit dull all the way through but then the end just floored me.

Baconyum · 16/12/2015 22:34

Arlington road is a BRILLIANT underrated film.

I also love no way out and memento and usual suspects.

I usually spot a twist but didn't spot sixth sense straight away. My ex is not usually good at slotting but did this one. Confused

hownottofuckup · 16/12/2015 22:40

Gone Girl
and The Sting - absolute classic.
I'm annoyingly good at guessing plot lines and both of those suprised me.
Plus the music in The Sting is fab.

The Sting is ace. Paul Newman! Oh, those eyes.......

WhataRacquet · 16/12/2015 23:12

Remember Me has a great twist at the end.

nenehooo · 16/12/2015 23:19

Place marking! Love a good twist and haven't seen very many of the film's mentioned!

slightlyglitterpaned · 16/12/2015 23:20

What about Salt?

Also, I guess Frozen counts, but probably works better if you're under eight Grin

TurduckenForDinner · 16/12/2015 23:21

I saw Looper on TV recently, I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. The twist at the end isn't massively unexpected, but not what I thought was going to happen.
