Glad you've all enjoyed it.
I think we'll take dd after the easter hols.

Chicken Little was a bit of a disappointment for our first cinema trip but I'm sure dd will love this.

We recieved the DVD today, thanks so much Mars. It was waiting for me when i got home so we watched it this evening. DD was excited as it meant a treat of having dinner in front of the TV :)

It was really good. DD enjoyed it, although did keep asking where the baby's mummy was. I hadn't the heart to tell her the truth and told her she was probably at home waiting for the daddy to find the baby! She did cry at the end when they wee all saying goodbye too. Bless. But yes, she enjoyed it and is looking forward to seeing the next one at the cinema tomorrow.

I'll get the DVD posted back to you asap :)

Saw Ice Age 2 today and we all really enjoyed it. DD didn't find it scary or upsetting at all this time, and has said she really liked it and has her favoruite parts, etc. I thought it was less scary than Ice Age 1 TBH and not as emotional - no having to explain to DD where a baby's mummy had gone at least!

MadameDeMars · 06/04/2006 13:45

Glad you both enjoyed Ice Age2.

Was happy to help out. Smile

I think they could make the squirrel the star of iceage3. Reminds me of the short bird film before toy story (2?) This was a real tonic for me and the family, laughed loads dd2s first film EVER and she laughed more at me than the film!!

We saw it yesterday and thought it was really good - better than the first imo Shock. Ds (who's almost 6 but very sensitive) was scared in parts but 3yo dd was fine. Loved the songs. Dh and I both laughed out loud several times.

SparklyGothKat · 12/04/2006 10:32

we saw it yesterday too, I loved it and loved the 'pervert' bit.. that made me LOL.. Grin

roisin · 12/04/2006 10:49

We loved this. Very funny in lots of parts, and not too scary in others:

Ds2 (nearly 7) is a bit of a sensitive flower when it comes to films, but managed this one without crawling onto my lap once! (He did look rather worried and hold my hand on a couple of occasions though.)

LOved it
great

Took ds (2.3) to see this last week for his first trip to the cinema. He loved scrat in IceAge, and a friend told me that he was in the sequel all the way through, so we hoped it might hold ds' attention. And it did! He laughed like a drain during the opening sequence, and was hooked there after. There are some quite scarey bits with nasty water monster things, which I wasn't expecting, but ds didn't seem bothered...he sat on dh's lap though, so I think felt quite safe. We needed plenty of snacks to keep him going during the bits he wasn't interested in, but it was great, and we all really enjoyed it.

Gloworm · 24/04/2006 12:14

when does it come out on DVD? (no cinema here!)

Gloworm · 24/04/2006 19:04

bump...anyone know?

Thomcat · 24/04/2006 19:07

DVD usually has 6 month holdback so summertime, poss Aug.

Great film, DD1 loved it and I laughed out loud at it too.

Nbg · 24/04/2006 19:16

At a guess I would say some time around the summer holidays.
It normally works like that to sting parents for every penny when the kids are off Grin

Went to see on Friday and it was great.

faeriemum · 11/05/2006 21:11

look ds 25months, to see it....he sat hypnotised by it......laughed his lil head off when something bad happened...which made me laugh...and then the row behind laugh....
the film was very good....no doubt i'll end up watching 100 times like the 1st ice age!
