I made it through the whole film without weeing (quite a feat for 6 months pregnant ).

It felt a little rushed, but I did enjoy it. As with all HP films, you need to go in ready to watch a film, and not an adaptation of a book, and you will be fine! I used to get worked up at how much change, but since starting with that view, it makes it all enjoyable.

So yup, loved it - the darkest of all so far (but then so is the book)... I do think the 12a rating is a bit steep, but since I don't actually have an 8 - 12 year old, I'm probably not much of a judge!

The rest of you - enjoy it when you get there!!!

Davros, just to be pedantic (and also to let you know your post was read!) the old Dumbledore was not Peter O'Toole but Richard Harris, but yes, he was Irish too wasn't he?

Anyway, I can't stand MG as Dumbledore and can't think how he will pull it off when he has a larger role to play in Film 6 if he is still in the cast by then. Who could do it, I wonder?

Oh and I am well up on the Dumbledore is not dead theory and ferverntly hope it is true as D is my favourite character by far, but I have a horrible feeling that JKR has stronger nerves and a more demanding tale to tell than I could and is going to keep him dead. I do believe though, that his death at the hands of Snape was planned by him. I think it will have something to do with the fact that it was metioned in an earlier book that Voldemort would never fully show himself until Dumbledore was out of the way, so D knew he had to sacrifice himself so that V and Harry can have their final showdown.

I had an inkling I was naming the wrong Paddy when I wrote that post! Too lazy to check. Yes, I agree, now I realise that the Dumbledore's not dead theory is quite popular its quite unlikely and your newer theory about it still being planned but he IS dead makes more sense..... I want to see the film again NOW.

Ian McKellen is the man to play Dumbledore. perhaps his fee is too high though.
