Man tax

I'm proposing a separate, higher, rate of income tax for men. My rationale is that men cost the state more (they are responsible for the vast majority of crime for e.g.), they do much less unpaid labour (care, volunteering), and the patriarchy is responsible for the inequality in pay and wealth of women.

And before anyone says "but maternity care" - it took a man to make that baby.

Only half in jest...

@ImAvingOops If it all went pear shaped, I just think it should be recognised that the advantages and disadvantages of both you and your ex's contributions should be equally shared since they result from a partnership.

Summed up the current divorce law to a 'T' !

Except it isn't carried out, since final settlement of 50/50 can only divide what the couple currently own and doesn't really take into account that one person has greater earning potential due to never having sah.
It also doesn't recognise that the sahp usually remains the primary cater and therefore has to tailor their working life around childcare - child support is too low (and is further reduced by a man having more dc or even moving in with a woman who has her own dc). It is also quite easy to dodge if the wohp is self employed.
