Want to buy a feminist Lanyard/Security Card Holder ...
YetAnotherSpartacus · 20/07/2021 12:03
... but I can't find one that isn't terribly twee or really just a rainbow one with feminist written on it.
Ideally purple or purple green and white and possibly with a women's symbol.
I can't wear ones with 'provocative' messages. It needs to be subtle.
Can anyone help, please?

Thank you - but that is not as subtle as I need. :)
Without the text it would be fine :)
Can't plait and anyway I need to put a cardholder on the end.
My expertise with crafting lies in supergluing my fingers together or asking someone else to unravel my mess, unfortunately. Once, I superglued my finger to my eyelid.
Etsy is usually my best friend.

Could you do ribbon?

Tying it on would probably work well enough. I'm not at all crafty but could rise to that I think.
I have a Close the Gender Pay Gap lanyard that I got at an event years ago and have clung to ever since, which is nicely official but makes me point. And has been a conversation starter a few times.

You can buy the little clip things in a stationery shop. Usually with the paperclips etc. They usually have the name badge bit as well. I used to buy them for sports competition judges/conferences.
Plaiting ribbon is really easy, I bet there is a you tube video. Or find a child who likes craft stuff?

Ah, sorry, just saw the 'from' price. Didnt see the 100 min order 🤦♀️
If you make one yourself, check works policy of quick release clips. Everywhere I've worked the lanyard needs to snap open if it is caught in something.

Good point. I rarely wear one around my neck anyway because I am scared of it being used to strangle me.

That might work! It might be a little bit too subtle - but it's done and does not involve me using power tools or superglue Thank you!
Seriously - this is a business opportunity though - lanyards for feminist womyn who can't fully show their colours :)
