Want to buy a feminist Lanyard/Security Card Holder ...

... but I can't find one that isn't terribly twee or really just a rainbow one with feminist written on it.

Ideally purple or purple green and white and possibly with a women's symbol.

I can't wear ones with 'provocative' messages. It needs to be subtle.

Can anyone help, please?

Maybe not subtle though.
Buy some ribbon and plait them?

Thank you - but that is not as subtle as I need. :)

Without the text it would be fine :)

Can't plait and anyway I need to put a cardholder on the end.

My expertise with crafting lies in supergluing my fingers together or asking someone else to unravel my mess, unfortunately. Once, I superglued my finger to my eyelid.

Etsy is usually my best friend.

Thank you! I'm not sure it is possible to buy just one though :)

That's 'subtle', but how would I put the card on the end? I guess I could drill a hole and tie it on ... ? Thank you!

Tying it on would probably work well enough. I'm not at all crafty but could rise to that I think.

I have a Close the Gender Pay Gap lanyard that I got at an event years ago and have clung to ever since, which is nicely official but makes me point. And has been a conversation starter a few times.

Sounds wonderful.

As long as it does not involve superglue.

You can buy the little clip things in a stationery shop. Usually with the paperclips etc. They usually have the name badge bit as well. I used to buy them for sports competition judges/conferences.
Plaiting ribbon is really easy, I bet there is a you tube video. Or find a child who likes craft stuff?

I should be hoovering, but it is too hot. This is much more interesting. Grin

Ah, sorry, just saw the 'from' price. Didnt see the 100 min order 🤦‍♀️

If you make one yourself, check works policy of quick release clips. Everywhere I've worked the lanyard needs to snap open if it is caught in something.

If you do buy 100, I'll buy one from you!

Good point. I rarely wear one around my neck anyway because I am scared of it being used to strangle me.

That might work! It might be a little bit too subtle - but it's done and does not involve me using power tools or superglue Grin Thank you!

Seriously - this is a business opportunity though - lanyards for feminist womyn who can't fully show their colours :)

That beaded one is scary, no quick release catch!

I'm still looking...

I wanted a running vest in suffragette colours, I think there is real demand here. I'd buy the lanyard too (assuming proceeds were about supporting women and girls)

Fiddly but flexible (perfect sit for anyone who wanted to make a bit of cash bulk ordering and selling) :)

Thanks!

I plaited my own. If a service user decided to throttle me by grabbing the cord rather than the card holder they might be able to, but the same was true of my official company-branded lanyard cord.

My beady one arrived today. I’ve been twirling it around like a weapon in a king fu movie. I’m almost looking forward to my next trip to the office!
