Arlene Foster suing Dr Christian

Apparently he tweeted that she was having an affair (without any proof), and the way he put it was a spiteful little jibe about her being a “sanctity of marriage preaching woman” adding “it always comes back to bite them on the arse”
Now I understand he might have an issue with her as I think she was against same sex marriage. But this man always strikes me as an arrogant twat and a nasty piece of work.

I tried to post the link but I’m such a technophobe! it’s on BBC news website

Also the GMC don't make the striking off decisions anymore. It's the MPTS - a totally separate body.

@UhtredRagnarson

NI libel laws are UK libel laws Wink

@TedImgoingmad

Dare one say narcissist?

I wonder why he does all those programmes about other peoples' less than perfect bodies? To make himself feel superior?

That's an interesting thought.

Here's a man who has had hair transplants, colours his hair blonde, goes to the gym six days a week for an hour and a half at a time and who was reluctant to have an appendectomy because it would leave a scar.

Yes, those are some signs that Jensen might have some issues with his image.

He has just launched a crowdfunded via Twitter! The brass neck of the man!

Cheeky fucker

AssassinatedBeauty · 28/05/2021 13:39

The cheek. But not surprised. Cant bring himself to be sorry for what he did or take responsibility for his own actions.

And mithering on about his own mental health issues without for a second considering what his actions would have done to Arlene Foster and her family.

If he is given leave to appeal I hope his arse is handed to him on a plate and that the costs are massively increased for him. Although I can't see how he's got any grounds for appealing at all

DentonsFringeArnottsWaistcoat · 28/05/2021 13:48

Ha ha hilarious deletion, can we only say nice things about him? His little fans must be stalking the thread.

I would, of course, contribute, but the damages were awarded against him, not me, so I won't!

@Viviennemary

Hardly the kind compassionate Mr Goody two Shoes he portrays on TV. I wonder if this will affect his career.
Given his chemsex scandal a few years back, I thought he lost that image ages ago.

Oh. My. God.

The audacity of this! Even if he thinks he did nothing wrong, surely he can see this makes him look like even more like he has no regrets and just thinks he can say / do what he likes without consequence? From a PR point of view it's like he's self sabotaging to be as unlikeable as possible.

We remember your tweets 'Doctor', the ones about children being married off and abused, the wide eyed naive 'I was just starting a debate' responses... we see you.

youvegottenminuteslynn · 28/05/2021 14:20

As these legal proceedings have involved some very personal issues and revalations, any monies raised surplus to the costs will be donated to relevant charities

Interesting and ambiguous phrasing there...

'Surplus to the costs' - does this include the fine only or also the legal costs he'll have to pay to Arlene over and above the fine? As the latter could mean his total spend is £350k+

I'm assuming he'll be expecting people to foot as much of that bill as possible rather than, you know, actually being accountable, taking responsibility and giving any money over the £150k to charity?

And what are 'relevant' charities? Ones that support people found guilty of libel?

I see that he is twisting this into a DUP vs the LBGT thing, and aiming at full 'martyrdom, Christian versus the Christians.

Has raised £845 in half a day . Do you fancy his chances?

iklboo · 28/05/2021 14:25

Jesus tonight. He has no shame.

UhtredRagnarson · 28/05/2021 14:27

That’s a really poorly written bio for his crowd funder. Is no one advising him? He doesn’t come across as very intelligent at all in that bio, for a doctor!

He's not getting much support so far.

Interesting the first donation was five days ago - three days before the verdict 🤔
AlfonsoTheMango · 28/05/2021 14:31

I wonder how he arrived at the sum of £150,000.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 28/05/2021 14:31

Is that not against the T&C

or the legal defence of alleged crimes associated with hate, violence, harassment, bullying, discrimination, terrorism, or intolerance of any kind relating to race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, serious disabilities or diseases, financial crimes or crimes of deception;

nauticant · 28/05/2021 14:33

Not those T&Cs, it was purely a civil case, there was no criminal aspect.

PronounssheRa · 28/05/2021 14:33

One of the donations from 5 days ago was from jessens partner. They knew which way the judgement was going to go.

But what a cheeky fucker asking others to pay his legal bills..

Yes, I thought 'revalations' rather than revelations was surprising!

God it's insufferably self indulgent and martyr like isn't it? Embarrassing.

nauticant · 28/05/2021 14:44

That said though, there's a decent argument to be made that it falls within the scope of the Communications Act 2003, section 127 or the Malicious Communications Act 1988, section 1:

www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/27/section/1

www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2003/21/section/127

where these provisions are often interpreted (for certain groups of people but not for others) according to how hurt were the feelings of the target.
