I recently started on sertraline, well 3 weeks ago, since then I had (unrelated) problems with vaginal bleeding and then a period so last night was the first time since taking it that I have had sex with DH.

I couldn't orgasm

This has never happened to me before, I am usually very receptive and can have 2 or more orgasms during one session.

I could not get anything built up at all, even with clitoral stimulation.

My husband is on anti-Ds and it was the same for him at firt, but is OK now.

I guess I just wanted to hear a womans experience of this, and am hoping you will tell me it will go back to normal soon. It won't be like this for the whole time taking them will it?

Just googled and its apparantly a common side effect of sertraline.

It happens to me on certain meds and is very frustrating. When do you take your AD? I used to be on imipramine and it would only happen if I had taken it in the evening before sex and not if I took it after.

I take it in the morning.

DH has been great when I talked to him about it last night.

Give it a couple more weeks I guess then go back to the GP if nothing has changed. Setraline just gave me insomnia I seem to remember.
