PND when baby starting on food-is that a thing?

I had awful pnd last time which I thought I had escaped this time, but, bf baby starting on solids so presumably having less milk, and I am starting to feel down.

Not sure if it is normal ups and downs like everyone gets or something more, but would the baby starting on food somehow affect my hormones or something?

I have heard that BFing releases hormones that relax you and can improve your mood so it may affect your mood slightly but as for triggering PND I don't know. Probably best to carry on with the BF as well as long as you can tho.
Are you feeling generally positive or negative about the baby starting on solids? You may be a bit sad if you've really enjoyed the 'little baby' stage.
My DD is just starting solids too and I'm excited about it!
For me it feels really positive as the early months were difficult.

I've had pnd twice and both times it's started when I stopped breastfeeding. DS1 at three months and DS2 at four months.

Although the exhaustion and general feeling of being overwhelmed kicked in at this time and I'm not sure if this would have just happened anyway.

Do take heart from my story though, pnd for 2.5 years with DS1 and only six months with DS2. So this time round you may find because you know what you're facing you may be able to deal with it better. Remeber, you got better last time and you will get better this time.
