Mental health and fertility referral

Hi after 19mths ttc#1 I am seeing a fertility dr this week. I hoped to get it at a different hospital that may not have all my notes, but this hospital has the clinic I need - with a consultant that can deal with endocrinology issues as well as fertility.

Has anyone had assistance from an NHS fertility clinic with mental health issues (recurrent depressive disorted and CPTSD I have diagnosed)? Or had problems getting help due to a mental health diagnosis?

I am going in work clothes, as a work day - which confused the receptionist at mental health unit today when I went to see crisis team worker - she said to go upstairs straight to their office not realising I could possibly be a "patient!" Just shows that people do judge on what they see!

I've had recurrent major depression for years, and when I started having fertility investigations I don't remember it being an issue at all. They needed to know what medications I was on, but other than that it wasn't mentioned. I was taking antidepressants at the time.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for that YanknCock - yes I am on ADs too. Feel bit more reassured hearing a positive from someone.
