Does anyone have any experience of giving birth whilst feeling utterly low and depressed?

I?m on bay number 2 so I?m well aware that I?m going to need all my energy and strength to my baby out (due any day now), but I?m feeling very low about it all.

We?ve had a run of bad luck lately, friends and family have been saying New Year new start, things will start to look up and get better, but it?s not turning out that way. I am terrified something bad will happen and that I will end up with (another) traumatic birth?

ThingumyandBob Don't have any answers I'm afraid but am also expecting DC2 any day now and can completely sympathise because I've been feeling v low this time around. I'm having ELCS due to traumatic EMCS last time, which takes some of the anxiety away for me although I'm still pretty anxious. All I can say is to try and talk through your feelings with your MW or consultant if you can face it and feel they are supportive enough to be able to help. Very best of luck with it.
