Hi
I have just been to the doctors and been pescribed Fluoxetine for PND.

I'm not thrilled to be on tablets.. but I do accept that I haven't felt right since having my DD.

Has anybody experience of these tablets... just googled them (know i shouldnt have) and the side effects looked very scary hair loss and weight gain....

How long are you usually on tablets for???

sorry for the questions... just a bit confused and clueless xxx

Thanks

Just a quick one..
I have had a couple of better days, only been on fluoextine for 3 days so Im thinking that they can't have started working properly yet??
Maybe Im just having a better couple of days...
How long do they take to start working as hubby thinks they have but Im convinced it's too early...

also my mum didn't want me on them, but she understood that for the sake of a few months for me to get better it was needed instead of me being depressed & basically wanting to give DS away.

re drinking I had 3/4 malibus prob every other week.

I did find thou I lost my sex drive & couldn't finish at all on them.

aside form that I was on them for 6 months then came off them about 4 months ago or so I think, hated it at the time, but better to have been on them than not, am now keeping it at bay by good eating and the gym.

thesouthsbelle I would say I was borderline... Doctor said he had seen far worse than me.. I really do feel like a different person the last 2 days....

thesouthsbelle - not to sure about the sex drive... DD is only 15 weeks and Im not sure that I have ever really got it back after having her.... Will bear it in mind though in case we ever get round to it

good, they really do work wonders int he short term, doesn't make you a bad person or mummy - infact you're better than me, it took me till ds was 2.5 before I went on them.
