I came off citalopram a few months ago and am doing ok but I am getting some anxiety symptoms.
I'm quite convinced it's the way I'm wired though as I don't have much to stress about at the moment although had major stress last year and before that. Maybe this has made me the way I am?

My main symptom is tightness in the chest especially in the centre. I've been checked out by my dr and she said my lungs are clear and heart strong. I know it's stress related as it went away when on citalopram.

I've started cycling and already walk a lot with my dog so am hoping the extra exercise will help?

I'm also meditating more or at least trying to.

Has anyone found anything else that helps? I'm also looking at my diet to see if that can help? TIA

I had a long walk today and that seems to have helped.

Hi JumpingDizzy - good for you in trying to go alone! I've tried several times & unfortunately have always ended going back on AD's.
You sound like you're doing the right things so good luck with this - do you know your main triggers?

thanks for reply, no I don't know what triggers it anything can unfortunately. I feel ok today so hope it keeps up as it's so draining isn't it?

Hey i'm 23 and have been on cipramil for over 3 years now, i don't know what exactly triggered it. I had Non Hodgkins Lymphoma when i first turned 18, relapsed after 6 mnths and my boyfriend at the time broke up with me after 3 yrs. I've tried sooo hard to get off them.I was on 30mg and really slowly reduced them (in the course of 1 yr). I went on to 20mg then 10mg, i am now at the point (and have been for 3months now) of cutting a 10mg into half then trying to bite a 5mg amount. It's been a struggle, trying to live as normal life as i can, with the scars of cancer, two hip replacements and stretch marks that get worse as i put on (and lose weight) I can't even wear a bikini any more.!!

Sorry to ramble on i've been so unsuccessful so many times now.
