Citalopram and alcohol....is it a big no no??

it says in the leaflet Do not drink alcohol but over Xmas that might be abit dull.

What will happen if I have 1 ir 2?

You'll be fine with a few.

They will go right to your head though!

rightly or wrongly, I drink quite often on them, and feel fine, but I do feel worse the morning after. I also feel much more dehydrated so try and drink a lot of water/juice at the same time.

I found that drink went to my head far quicker and also that if I had too much i would have a couple of low days about 48 hours later. I was alright after just 1 or 2 glasses of wine though.

I think they say to avoid alcohol if possible because alcohol is a depressant, and you're having treatment for being depressed. See the logic?

DP was fine with alcohol and citalopram, didn't report any extra hangover or anything.
