I just want to say thankyou to all of you who supported me when I have been struggling with my CBT and driving issues.

I am sorry, I cannot for the life of me think of all the names, but MoM, dryad, lewis, jes74 all are in my head right now, I will go see more names in a mo.

I have finished today, I feel great, and it is a wonderful feeling being able to drive without panicking or feeling as tho any near-miss means I am about to die!

It WAS hell in the middle, and MoM and flame (in R/L and on MSN) were particularly wonderful at making sure I stuck it out. I will admit that I did have 4wks break as I was not coping, but now.......NOW I feel normal (as normal as I am going to get at least).

thankyou.....xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Wow - such good news to hear you are feeling better, I never posted on your threads but watched with interest as was on waiting list for CBT (just started)

Get driving

stealthsquiggle · 01/12/2008 12:21

So now you can happily drive away from your hot-water-less house ?

I am so glad you managed to stick it out as it was clearly very very hard for you. Well Done.

psychomum5 · 01/12/2008 12:22

ah, you are also on my list to thank greyskull

I am just hunting down my threads for names.....OJ, Buda, NBG, Mou....also should be thanked.

I am sure there are more

thankyou stealth..

ooooh, got a man coming soon (well, sometime this PM at least), to fix the hot water

stealthsquiggle · 01/12/2008 12:26

Try not to hug him too hard if/when he does fix it - you'll scare him off and with DH 'fixing' the bathroom you never know when you might need him again

ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 01/12/2008 12:28

Well done you for sticking it out even when it was hard. Really pleased for you that it has worked so well.

Have a hug!

psychomum5 · 01/12/2008 12:30

aww.....buda, your hug was my best memory of the meetup you know

stealth, I will hold myself back, I promise.

Mind you, if he goes into the downstairs loo and see the santa loo cover (that is trying to stay on), he might well run a mile....

Gosh psycho - you must have had a shitty night if that was the highlight!

psychomum5 · 01/12/2008 12:44

I did not, I had a fab night.....topped off by a wonderful hug, so there

OP posts:
ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 01/12/2008 12:46

Well I am glad you liked it. I am a hugger and sometimes forget that some people aren't - esp when I have had a vat glass of wine!

psychomum5 · 01/12/2008 12:48

ah, I love a good hug......never get enough of them I find

hey ho, here is a good place I find, even with those who don't 'do' hugs.

OP posts:
ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 01/12/2008 12:49

I don't really understand those who don't 'do' hugs. Love a good hug!

Right - best go and clear off the mess that is the desk or DH will strangle me rather than hug me tonight!

psychomum5 · 01/12/2008 13:00

I should be hoovering actually.

but here is more fun

onlyjoking9329 · 02/12/2008 14:54

Good to hear you are doing ok, well done.

psychohohohoho · 02/12/2008 15:45

I am OJ.

how are you.....I am not inline much at the mo......in and out mainly while trying to sort the many kiddies pressies, plus fitting a new bathroom and finding someone to make my hot water work!!!

onlyjoking9329 · 02/12/2008 17:48

it iS a hectic time of year already without the added hassle of things breaking.
i have christmas sorted, we are being minimalists this year, i am just getting things for the kids and our mate tracey and her family and that is it, me and the kids are going away for christmas and new year, somewhere where broomsticks can't fly to.

psychohohohoho · 02/12/2008 20:15

ooh, how exciting for the going away, altho I am assuming it is so that you have some memories away from steve for the childrens sakes???

and the broomstick reference........MIL again???

onlyjoking9329 · 02/12/2008 23:27

the kids want to go back to lanzarote where we took steves ashes, elliot wants to take him a card and the girls want to write messages in the sand again, i think it will be difficult where ever we are this year, we have had many invites from friends but, i think it will be harder being around families and having it in our faces that things are now different IYKWIM.
oh yes MIl is up to her usual crap, i know it will only get worse at christmas so we will be well out of the way

MerlinsBeard · 09/12/2008 20:51

Oh that's GREAT news!!!

I am so pleased you are feeling more human
