I am hitting a down, or have been for a few weeks. I know some of the reasons why. Not sure whether to try and ride it thru, or consider talking to gp about raising my dose. Will this just mask it, or do i need to suffer thru what i am feeling, and come out the other end?

Have been on my anti's for yrs now.

I was always on a 'stable' dose of 20mg of my anti-d's but when I felt a low coming,I would always up my dose to 30mg,my gp said I would know when I felt I needed to up it to remain stable, however I would always got to the GP to discuss it so it was recorded plus I would need to be prescribed the extra meds.

Let your GP know how you are feeling,it could be a case of adjusting your dose or maybe even changing meds.

Hope you feel better soon.

thanks posh wellies. it's difficult to know what is best. certian things in my rl are upsetting me again. I know that antidepressents tend take the edge off upset, so my wonder is wether to ride it thru.

was it circumstances that made you want to up your dose?

I have just had my dose upped as I wasn't doing very well but the GP wouldn't okay it over the phone, I had to go in and see him.

I posted about how I was feeling on the new dose but didn't get any replies.

My advice would be not to change your dose, up or down, without your GP's okay.

Hope you feel better soon.

I was just being silly.

I feel a bit out of it tbh.

not silly, not when you feel down.
