Can it be PND with 10 month old?

Subject says it all really; have 4 children had terrible PND with number 3 and was really thrilled not to have suffered this time. But after a fantastic pregnancy, home birth and a wonderful 10 months relishing every minute of my last child I suddenly feel like I'm going under

Can it really be PND kicking in this late!

Thanks everyone for support - including OP

Lazyhen - I've been thinking about you, I hope you're OK. I really hope you go and get some support because I think you must have been having some very distressing thoughts and feelings to have resulted in you hurting yourself like this. Whatever the (very valid) reasons behind it.

Thank-you. I called the out of hours GP today and he was really nice. I told him about fracturing my hand and how it had really happened. We agreed that I'd see GP and HV this week. I think he thought (and I agree) that it was a very unusual set of circumstances that resulted in me snapping, but maybe not that I have PND.

Can't say I'm overjoyed at the thought of HV being involved, but I will do it. I bought some herbal remedy tablets today (along with a massive bar of chocolate) and I do feel a bit brighter now. Not sure which to credit that with!

Good, well done and I'm glad you're feeling brighter. I didn't think much of my HV before, but she's actually been really nice through my difficulties, so yours might surprise you.

Ratherbesleeping - how are you getting on?
