I am like nailpolish and not really sure who vlost is and I feel really bad about that. I have sent a contribution though and am so glad that she has so many people helping through mumsnet.

I think I have an inkling who Vlost is - I hope she's feeling better soon and am glad she's got the support of so many people on here

Hi Soupy. I don't know who vlost is, or if I've ever chatted with her, but I was thinking about her too this morning while I bathed DD, hoping that she's OK and getting some help now.

Has she had an assessment from the mental health services and is she going to be getting any support from them? I used to be a Psychiatrist's secretary and worked in a CMHT, so if there's any advice I can give about "the system"(given that each area work differently) please let me know.

How are things, is vlost still with Soupy?

And well done to Lou et al - you really can feel so rpoud of yourselves today.

I went to see vlost and soupy this afternoon.

Soupy is doing a great job of taking care of her. Vlost keeps saying she is sorry, she is very down but trying to put on a brave face. I am hoping to see her again at the weekend.

I told her everyone cares about her and that lots of people wanted to pass on their good wishes but I don't think she's looked at mn yet and think she might find it a bit overwhelming when she does.

She is staying with soupy again tonight which is comforting to know.

Anorak, slight hijack - do you know if she got my card? Am worried I might have put it through thw wrong door...

thanks for letting us know that anorak. i hope that vlost is getting support from outside agencies, or that something is in the pipeline for the very near future- wouldn't like to think that it was all being left to soupy.

snafu, I don't know. She only popped home for clothes and still isn't totally 'with it'.

M2S, I hope so too. She can't remember much about leaving hospital last night, she was very woozy. IME they would send a follow-up appointment by post for something like this, I hope so, anyway.

Oh, not to worry, I just thought it might have been you at her place this afternoon. I didn't stop because obviously didn't want to intrude.

I am happy to read that vlost is OK. I was thinking about her today and have logged onto my computer as soon as I could to get an update.
Please let her know that the Spring is coming, the blossom is starting to appear on the trees and the promise of Summer is something so simple but really special...hang onto these simple things when times get rocky.
