My DH is a kind and intelligent man but in recent years he has been very up and down. He had a serious issue at work and although it was resolved, has foundit hard to move on.
Just recently two of his friends died suddenly and I think that this alongside his general frustration had sent him into depression.
One of the clearest signs that something wrong has been his increased use of alcohol and his behaviour has become erratic (drinking alone, always drinking to get drunk).
He finally admitted he has a problem and said that alcohol helps him relax. He has been to the GP and he has diagnosed anxiety. He hasd been put forward for counselling but there is a long waiting list.
In the meantime I want to help him work on his problems - any advice?
