I've been taking Cipralex for 3 weeks now after being off work for 3 months, feeling so so tired, lack of energy and no enthusiasm. Tablets are helping me feel better now and hoping to return to work soon. Am on 10mg daily, and am now worried after reading this thread. I have lost my libido recently too, so it's a relief to read others are too didn't realise it was a symptom. How long have you been on them? I now feel like I need to take the tablets to function normally, though am aware of the fact that I am being too reasonable/ calm about matters I know I'd get stressed about before taking the tablets. Any advice gratefully received/ or even simiilar experiences???

Hi.

I tend to agree with what Marthamoo.

Passing out on a regular basis isn't really the sort of side effect you should be expected to just put up with. Can see why you want to come off them. But keep an eye on yourself whilst coming off them - there are many other ADs that are slightly different to Cipralex that hopefully won't affect you so badly, if you/your GP feel that is appropriate. In the past I have the dubious honour of taking about 4 different SSRIs - and would honestly not say I have experienced debilitating side effects from any of them - so I don't feel that anyone should just be putting up with really bad side effects that impede your day to day life.

just take the withdrawing really slowly. the effects of withdrawal can unfortunately be a bit like the effects of being depressed.
