Sertraline and hunger :(

Hello all, hoping someone has some experience or advice to share.
I have been taking sertraline 50mg for 8 weeks for anxiety and low mood. However, for the last few weeks I realised that I think about food ALL of the time. I am never full and satiated. Craving for sweet stuff and carbs so much.

I have actually taken sertraline in the past and went up to 100mg (came off because I felt numb) but never had hunger or craving issues like this. I thought I would give myself 12 weeks to see if it settles but I am fed up of thinking of the next thing to eat as soon as I’ve finished one thing.

Did anyone experience similar? Is it worth trying a different medicine?

I'm taking Citalopram for hot flushes and I've been having exactly the same issues,so I considered switching to S, but now I won't!
For three days this week I did the WeightWatchers diet, because I've put on three quarters of a stone since starting it in August, and managed to lose it all in 3 days. Im not

I don’t know whether everyone reacts like this on sertraline, as I didn’t have this problem when I used it in the past. So you can give it a try, it may work fine for you!

Oh amazing that you managed to shift the weight!

It’s the constant thinking about food for me, I can’t concentrate on anything else.

I had the carb cravings too, used to sit on my hands until five minutes before the shop across the road was due to close and I’d run in and buy a packet of biscuits and eat them all.
It didn’t help me so I came off it, thank goodness, did WW and lost 3.5st.
I’ve been on so many ADs and none of them have given me side effects like that.
