Has anyone had acid reflux after starting fluoxetine, and did it settle?

I’m hoping there’ll be some positive stories! I’ve started taking 20mg Fluoxetine for the last ten days. I’d come off citalopram (after weaning off slowly for about a year) and didn’t want to go back on citalopram as it made me put on so much weight.

I’ve tried to stave off the depression for many months with other ways but eventually I’ve taken the plunge again and started to try Prozac as I felt so low.
The nausea is subsiding a little but my heartburn/acid reflux is horrible. I’ve never really suffered with it but I almost feel like I can’t keep taking it if it feels like this constantly. I’ve switched from the capsules to the tablets but so far it hasn’t made any difference. Has anyone had any experience of this? And does it subside in a few weeks?
thank you!

Hi, you've started two threads. Maybe report one so you don't have to deal with two!

Have you tried to attend therapy for depression? Trying different management techniques such as relaxation therapies could be helpful. Medication alone is harmful as it also side effects and also causes drug dependency.
