Bad Day

I seem to be posting so many unhappy posts at the moment. Sorry but gonna have a moan again. Well that's what MN is for everyone keeps telling me.
dds have both been poorly with colds and coughs and dd1 has been off school for two days with temperature. She has been very hard work and very demanding and I shall be sending her back to school tomorrow.
I had to go to supermarket after I picked dd2 up from pre-school this afternoon as we didn't have anything in for tea. Took both girls with me and they winged and moaned constantly around the shop. dd1 needed the toilet when we were half way round which made the "quick" trip to the shop even longer.
We finally got to the checkout and while I was waiting customer services read out my car registration number. I had to abandon my shopping on conveyer belt to see what was up. I'd left the back passenger door wide open. and someone had kindly reported it. Had to drag kids outside, still whinging and bloody moaning, to close door and lock car.
Returned to shop to get back into queue and pay for my shopping.
Kids were bickering in car all the way home. I was on the edge of tears when we got back.
Was late taking AD today too which possibly didn't help.
Sorry to grumble.

If it's any help, i have pnd and have days where i don't even want to surface in the morning....but then i have days where i feel very happy and content and thiings seem to go right.
I do hope you have one of those tomorrow, and many more afterwards.

Going back to see GP on Monday to see how ADs have been working. Shall talk to him about it then.

I can't believe I did such a stupid thing as to leave the car door wide open. I am so absent minded sometimes. It worries me.

poor dh doesn't know what to say to me for the best. keeps asking if I'm okay and I keep saying that I have to be don't I?

i left full car unlocked last week all night and dp did it week before(new car, central locking) and same night i did that dp left house alarm off
we all do it hun, your main priority was your kids and you had lots on your mind particulary coping with shopping and kids(bad combination!)
dont beat yourself up hun, we all do it

the car wasn't just unlocked the door was just left completely open. OMG!!!!! I was lucky in some ways that I didn't leave the keys in there.

I am just exhausted. I am a full-time mum and don't work. How people cope with work and everything else I will never know.

We've all done stuff like leave doors wide ope sparkler...i've left the key in the front door once or twice! (dp hit the roof!)
If you're really worried about your memory though. mention it to the doc on monday, perhaps it's a side effect of your ads?

Don't feel bad honey, like i say stuff like that has happened to us all.

My memory is down to lack of sleep and having kids I think - everyone gets it! Sorry to keep moaning. Started ADs two weeks ago. Felt quite a lot better after about 5 days of taking them just for two or three days. Not feeling so good since. First time I have felt tearful tonight though since I started. I can't stop crying. Sorry don't want to make everyone miserable.

mmmm, listen hon, i don't know if you've been on ads before at all, but it can sometimes take a good month to kick in properly.
Take good care of yourself and be patient. I speak from experiance here, believe me you will feel better, even if you don't feel like you will at the moment.
My memory has been non existent since dd months ago

Sparkler !! Tomorrow WILL be better!
If it's any consolation these are some of my classics...

Keys in front door overnight on several occasions
Kettle left to boil dry on a gas ring all night..bottom burnt out
Loaded my dead expensive pram into my car, then went into town. Came back 1/2 an hour later and to my horror, the hatch was wide open! Am amazed noone nicked it!
Accidentally parked over a drive and went shopping. Came back a while later to an absolutely apoplectic bloke who I'd trapped in. Thought he was going to hit me!!

Family just as bad. Mother recently went for a long walk and left a pan of beans bubbling. As she came down from the hills a few hours later, she noticed that the village was wreathed in a haze of smoke...her beans!!! The village still talk about it!
Sister once went shopping for a load of new clothes. Put her bags down somewhere and walked off. Bye bye six new outfits!!
She has also lost her passport at least seven times.

There!! Feel better now!!!!???

I went to parents for weekend and left back door wide open of course DP was first back in and it was my fault! Having a family to care for is exhausting mentally and physically I have many days when despair takes over and you feel like your the worst failure in the 'mumworld'. We all salute your bravery at tackling the supermarket with two young children especially when you've had one home ill.
I'm on AD as well and unfortunately it doesn't make everything ok just takes the edge of the bad feelings (sometimes).
Use the support here it relly helps.

DD2 is at pre-school just for the morning tomorrow and I am definitely sending dd1 back to school (hopefully!). We really need a big shop but I just find even writing a shopping list such an effort. It's a horrible feeling.

I've registered on Tescos site but never actually ordered. Have been put off a bit by watching the online shoppers in the supermarket. One of them dropped a bag of apples all over the floor the other day and still put them into the trolley. Some poor person would have been delivered bruised apples. Not sure how they would be at picking out sell by dates either?

You check everything when its delivered. When your unpacking after they've left and you find something is not right or nearly out of date, bruised or whatever you can ring or email them and they'll pick it up and exchange it!
Try it its one less stress and imagine you can sit at the computer with a glass of wine and browse the bargains!!

Sparkler, I gather that you are seriously down, which is a whole different kettle of fish to being merely pissed off, but one thing that works for me when I'm low is making a small realistic list of things to do. Being able to tick them off really makes me feel better.
Personally I think shopping on line is a bad idea. Being on a computer is a stressful thing (unless it's MN) and getting out is good for you, even if it's just to shop. Can you nip out alone when the kids are in school? How about shopping at night? (If you have a 24 hr place near you. I do this a lot-wonderfully unstressful.

DON'T go comparing yourself to working mums! They at least get some peace from their kids asa someone else is looking after them. I am an SAHM after being one who worked f/t and believe you me, being at home is harder. It's just relentless. At least in work you can hide in the bog, moon around the photocopier, and have an adult conversation.

I agree Moondog - I don't want to stop myself going out. I hear so many things about people with depression getting panic attacks and being frightened of going out and I really don't want to start getting any of that.
I tend to shop in the evenings when dh is home to look after kids but have had no energy recently. Dh bless him has been getting home from work and writing lists and doing the shopping himself quite a lot recently. He's even cooked meals as I haven't had it in me to think about what to do.

I find doing the 'big' shop online leaves you time to enjoy the little shops we all do inbetween the big shops and your more relaxed and open to engage in casual conversation at the checkout. I just find it leaves more room for something slightly more enjoyable I love going to the library or just being able to stroll around the village knowing my shopping will arrive later!
The list idea is great and really works especially if you add a couple of 'easy' tasks to get your 'tickbox' started!!!!
