Sertraline reassurance needed

I'm on day 10 of sertraline, 25mg at first, took my second dose at 50mg last night.

I feel like my anxiety is worse. Instead of having waves of it and feeling ok some of the day I'm now feeling anxious all the time, though a little better in the evenings. The last 2 mornings on 50mg I've been very panicked with intrusive thoughts and even threw up this morning.

Did anyone have this and it got better?

@Pelvicpaininthebum yes a week, and then I started feeling better.

How are you doing now?x

Thanks @KittyRannaldini this gives me hope I might feel a bit better in a few days.

I'm still feeling very anxious and low but not as desperate as this morning. Though I am worried I'll feel terrible again tomorrow morning. I'm going to take a lorazepam tonight so I can sleep.

I just don't know how to get through the days till I feel better.

Are you able to get CBT? My doctor tried that with me before sertraline and I am very grateful she did. The counsellor was very supportive and taught me some great techniques to break the anxiety cycle.

I contacted my Employee Assistance Program to ask for counselling but they asked me a load of questions and told me my anxiety and depression are both severe and so not suitable for their service. The GP said I could self refer to an organisation who have the same rules.

I hope you get a good sleep. Are you taking the tablets in the morning or at bedtime? I find that morning works much better for me.

Thank you.

I started in the mornings but switched to last thing as I was very tired in the day (still am though).
