Decided to slowly come off this AD, i have done it gradually by cutting down bit by bit. But i have had a few days with no tablets at all now, and my heart is racing like crazy and my hands and feet feel so tingly and fuzzy.
Also feels like my eyes are doing weird things!

is this normal?

I recently came off Citaloprim. I was on 40mgs for about a year, then was on 20mgs for the last 3mths. Spoke to my GP in Jan/Feb time about coming off it and she gave me a 3mth timetable to wean myself off it. I did however get dreadful dizziness, palpitation and headaches. They do get better but I did read that it could take up to a year for the symptoms to disappear. My thinking is that I am ready to come off the AD's and therefore there's no choice but to deal with the symptoms. Good luck.

Good luck with it. I came off them for ages but had loads of stress all at once so went back on them. You do get those side effects when coming off but it didn't take me long to feel ok.

I was on 40mg, cut down to 20, then 10mg, then 5mg, then 2.5mg every couple of days (when I had the side effects) I've been off them for about 6 weeks now & am still having the odd vibrating head.

Perhaps it might be helpful to cut down more gradually ?

how do you take 2.5mg, break the bloody pill into tenths??

well, you can ask for a lower dose prescription, or crush the life out of it like me.
