Hello! I am moving to the UK for six months with my family and want to make sure our health insurance needs are covered. We will no longer have a US insurance plan. Is there a recommended plan for visitors? If our visa extends, we will stay two years. I'd love to know what company/plan is recommended. We have 3 children. I also want to get preventative scans (mammograms) whil in the UK. Thank you so much!!

You can just pay as you go, get a Wellwoman check or private gp appointment for example, and pay a one off fee. If you or oh are working the company may offer a private policy that is easier to claim on than a personal one which may not cover pre existing conditions. Presumably your visa cost includes charges to access NHS.
