So on to what? Mental health team I guess? Anyone know what this is going to invovle. Have been on AD over a year now and have spent the past weekend in bits as we went to stay with some friends and I found it really hard to cope.

~Many thanks

Eve

Eve,

I'm on 40mg, and was refered to teh mental health team just before Xmas.

You will probably see a psychiatrist first, who will be able to take much more time with you than the GP can, to talk about how you are coping/feeling etc. If you have been on AP for 12 montsh and are still not doing too well, they may be able to chnage your meds to something else.

I have also been refered, by them, to see a psychologist, but teh waiting list is so long I suspect DD will be all grown up before that happens.

It's nothign to be worried about, they will only wnat to help you. They will ask questions that may be a bit , like 'do you hear voices talking to you', 'do you ever thik about harming yourself/ your children', but they are not trying to find things out to use against you, only to help you.

Hope this helps, and lots of love

Thank you for the quick response, I have been seen by a different gp each time I have gone back, so have not felt comfortable in admitting I feel no better, but this has gone on for to long and I just want to feel more up beat again, life is a struggle at the moment.

Did you have to go back to the MH team? Or is it just a one off?

Joked to GP DS will of left home by the time I get sorted. Want to be well for him and DP, he too has had enough of my miserable face now.

You are right to get it sorted. There is no need to feel like this, so why would you?

Go back to the MH team every 6 weeks, each appt is only about 10 mins though now, instead of the 30 mins for the 1st one

Thank you for that, not told DP yet, feel like I have let everyone down, silly really. I am going to get this sorted now though. x
