Just can't sleep

I'm going to lose my job because I just can't sleep. Take tonight for example, I went to bed at 10.39 after some tv on the sofa with my DH and a cup of chamomile tea. It's now 3.40 am and I haven't yet slept.

I'm so wound up and stressed out about not being able to sleep. I've tried meditation kalms tablets, listening to podcasts but nothing is working. I keep going to the toilet as the stress in the middle of the night is given me a bad stomach

What am I going to do

OP, I have been where you are, pretty much exactly by the sounds of it, about 10 years ago. Looking back, I see that sleep was a focus for a lifetime of anxiety that I wasn't really aware of. Now I run regularly, don't drink much caffeine and have had quite a bit of therapy to address the anxiety that turned out to be hypervigilence due to childhood trauma. I'm not saying that's the case for you! Just that insomnia itself can be a symptom of something else that needs looking at. I also take Mirtazapine, just a small dose (7.5 mg), just so that I know I will sleep. Its hell to go through insomnia, but it will pass.

Glad I saw this thread, I've downloaded the Dare app too and got the kindle book. Anxiety is my main contributor to not sleeping too
