Wanted to get independent advice please -

Working for a large scale org having more than 30K employees. Being subject to constant belittling and telling down over the past 2-3 years by the manager. Put on a "need improvement" rating in 2023/23. Manager not replied to emails when questioned on rating and giving any detail that the rating is unfair. Was asked to complete 20 work related points by the same manager 3 days prior to going abroad to see my very ill mother which I did by working night and day and he mainly blames me for this project in the end of year rating, give me a bad rating and puts me on a perf plan in 2024. Lost my mum 3 months post I went to see her. Put on a performance improvement plan for 3 months earlier in 2024. Slogged against very very challenging deadlines but again manager not ready to accept that I have done any decent work. Not given me any feedback on the work that I have done. I have gone on on work related stress a few months ago and raised a grievance with HR.

HR have changed my line manager and say that they have done what they could do on the grievance by changing my line manager. They now say that they will NOT take the grievance forward and provide feedback as to why I am supposed to be still on the perf plan. The new manager on the other hand give me new objectives which is like a 25 day project which in my mid is impossible to acheive in those timescales. I have independently timescales from others as well and they are of a similar opinion.

I have basically lost my mind working with this organisation and cannot believe that that I am being treated this way

I would like some advice please on

  1. What are my rights with HR - As they are now categorically saying that we will NOT take your grievance forward even informally as we have given you a good outcome by giving you a great new manager.
  2. Is there any lawyer who I can contact who can give me 30 mins.
  3. Any other ideas of what I should do
