Feeling very sad

Can't be arsed to go into why, but I have an overwhelming feeling of sadness. It is dragging me down. I am dangerous when I get low, so I have been lurking on mn for half an hour trying to cheer myself up. But it is not happening

oh paper - (great name by the way!) please don't feel so blue. Can you go into why you feel this way or do you just want to chat?
Sending lots of hugs and be happy vibes

Youcannotbeserious · 26/04/2008 21:40

Hi!!!

How long have you been feeling like that?

Have you spoken to anyone about how you feel?

I'm about if you want to chat?

soph28 · 26/04/2008 21:40

Just wanted to bump for you. hugs]]]]

Is there something specific that is making you feel down or do you feel like this for absolutely no reason? How long have you felt like this?

RIELOVESBACARDI · 26/04/2008 21:41

paperchain · 26/04/2008 21:42

aww thanks you two

Generally I have been feeling okay. But I am working on some tough stuff in therapy atm which is hanging over me a bit. (I was told I woudl be particulaly vulnerable atm). There's lots of other contributing stuff but I am sick of it all and not sure going on about it will help.

I just dont know how to play it, IYKWIM

Sorry to hear you are having a crap time. Just posting to give support, not much to add sorry.

paperchain · 26/04/2008 21:51

I am not having a crap time particularly. just have an overwhelming engulfing sadness enroaching. Think I'll find a corner to crawl into

OP posts:
StressTeddy · 26/04/2008 21:54

no, no. Don't crawl - keep talking. Do you know why you feel the sadness approaching??

Desiderata · 26/04/2008 21:59

Don't feel the need to respond to everyone individually, paper. It'll wear you out, love.

So, you're having therapy? For some people, it can work .. for others, it can't.

Do you want to expand, or do you just want me to tell you that tomorrow is another day?

Because it is, you know. Your life starts again on the click of a second. So don't sink, because we're here for you.

DumbledoresGirl · 26/04/2008 22:59

Hey PC, I came to the pc looking for you. Are you around tomorrow? I have only got the same Sunday routine of doing the dinner planned so please email me and let me know when we can meet on msn for a chat. I will kick even dh off to meet you there.

I know you hate me saying it, but chin up sweetie!

paperchain · 28/04/2008 17:11

pc - is there anyone in rl you can talk to? You sound like you are going through a really hard time, but you are in therapy which takes a lot of courage, especially if you have to face some painful things. But you are doing it, so that tells me you are a very strong person and should be proud of yourself. I dont know what to advise, but maybe you need to go with the feeling of sadness and have a wallow, to get it out of your head, does that make any sense???

Talk to the samaritans if you need a RL ear, ive spoken to them in the past and they really helped me.

When do you see your therapist again? What can you do to tide you over, or can you get in touch before hand? Are you on medication? Perhaps this needs looking at.

I think MN has been a bit slow today too, no barneys to lurk on - always a bummer

Are you due for a period by any chance? i know this sounds trite and i would never dream of asking a woman this usually, but sometimes when i am due, i get the whole sadness thing appear from no-where. Just wondered? Do you know why you feel like this at the moment?

Good luck, hang on in there xxx

paperchain · 30/04/2008 21:29
