Did anyone have increased anxiety when upping venlafaxine dose

Was on 37.5mg of venlafaxine for 3 weeks, my dose has been increased to 75mg. On day 5 of increased dose and my anxiety is bad today, did anyone else experience this when increasing the dose? I had increased anxiety on day 5 when taking 37.5mg and l feel like l am going through the side effects again but not as severe

Hi @Dawnelaine67 yes I definitely noticed a slight increase in anxiety when I upped a dosage, this is quite common with a lot of antidepressants making you feel a bit worse before you get better! Don’t give up though, it took me a good three months I’d say before I felt significantly ‘better’ x

But l stuck with it and l ❤️Venlafaxine.

Thank you for your reply, definitely sticking with it as l do feel alot better. I couldn't leave my house because of bad anxiety but now l am able to go shopping locally....baby steps but l can see the light at the end of the tunnel ❤️
