New Style ESA assessment timescales?

Hello, I’m wondering how long it is generally taking at the moment between the telephone “capability for work” assessment and being notified of the decision?

Does anyone have any recent experiences of this please?

It's very variable. Sometimes they will need to chase up medical evidence or speak to health professionals. It all depends what medical evidence you sent with the form or whether they need more information.

Thanks. I sent a whole stack of letters from my consultant and DWP already got my GP to fill in a form so they shouldn’t need any more medical info really.

I already get PIP but I don’t know if they know that or if it is relevant to ESA.

Just to update - I’ve been put in the support group but only until November.

Is it usual for it to be for such a short period of time and what happens in November?
