Spa day alone??

Has anyone been to a spa day by themselves? I've been feeling incredibly stressed recently due to a lack of effort with household duties from my husband. I have been doing all tidying/cleaning/cooking/washing etc for the house (husband and two children) along with a full time job.

Recently had a very honest conversation with my husband about it who has stepped up the game this week (still waiting to see if it lasts). But he has football once or twice a week and out with friends too.

I'm embarrassed to admit it but I have absolutely no friends. I'm introverted and struggle with social situations and have lost all my friends along the way since having kids.

I feel I need to make a bit of a point of having 'me time' and was wondering if I would get some odd looks if I book a spa day for just me as I have no one else to go with?

I love a spa day on my own. I also happily go for lunch / dinner on my own. It's refreshing not to have to chat and just do your own thing.

I got given a spa day for one and a massage for my 40th birthday so it's obviously a thing to go to a spa by yourself.
Although if you need regular time to yourself it might be more relaxing to join a yoga class or similar then you could go once a week and meet people there and relax. Better overall than one day at a spa. Either sound nice though.

I LOVE going for spa days on my own! Probably prefer that to going with someone else, although I do that loads as well.

Go for it!!!

I've never been with anyone? I just assumed it was a single person thing. Love it, read relax, eat yummy food and a few treatments.

In November, I went to a spa for five days on my own. It was bloody lovely.

Five days?? Where was this. Sounds like heaven.

Do it!!!
If you don't, I will.

I do this several times a year, and normally stay 2-4 nights. It’s ace

I won a spa day in a raffle once. We had just moved so I didn't have anyone to go with. I am quite happy doing things on my own anyway but it was lovely. Didn't have to consider anyone else for a whole day. Starting to think I deserve another one!

there’s a lovely spa at my gym that I use a few times a week on my own, it’s absolute bliss. Sometimes Dh comes too and secretly I’m fuming 😂 I just want to lie with my own thoughts and pretend I’m so hot because I’m on holiday! I also get highly irritated at other people chatting and disturbing the peace so a spa day on my own is the only one I’d consider!
And yes I’m being hugely irrational as it’s for anyone who pays to use and I’m aware it’s not my personal spa… I just really seek the peace and quiet sometimes 😂

I've done spa days, overnights and weekends! It's fab on your own. Much better than going with someone, it's far more relaxing. They'll be other people there on their own, you won't look out of place at all. Hope you enjoy it! x

Love them on my own. I've been known to go for the weekend or overnight for 2 day spa alone too - same reasons! Bliss 🥰
