Time of day for Sertraline

When do you take your sertraline? I just got prescribed this yesterday, and I took it as soon as I left the chemist, but have since read that I need to take it at the same time every day. Well that was 2.30pm in the afternoon, so not going to be practical.

What time do you take yours? Is evening (5pm) okay? I think it makes me slightly tired, so might be best for me, but not sure! If I want to change to morning, can I just do that, or will that lead to a sort of overdose that day, because of the big overlap? The doctor gave no info about when to take it. Thanks.

I take mine in the morning. I’m not sure why, think it was always just prescribed that way! I take multiple tablets though and done make me sleepy so I take them at night.

I take mine in the morning as I think it causes me a bit of insomnia (but have seen others saying drowsy too). Don’t stress too much - you won’t have a huge overdose it’s just best to try and be roughly consistent.
