Feel really lonely at this time of year

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Have been single for several years and do enjoy my own company. Am still young and wanting to go out and socialise.

Happily take myself out to the cinema, theatre, pub lunch, on holiday... but NOT comfortable to do so on a night out. I would like to go out new year's eve, though there seems to be no one to go with.

Thank you in advance for replying.

Sorry that you feel this way…I had the same problem some years ago when I was single. I had an unexpectedly nice NYE some time ago when I was on my own and went to an all-night yoga and meditation retreat. I met some lovely people there. That might not be what you’re after, but maybe there are any events you fancy where you could go alone and meet others? Another time I decided to go to bed early and do a run at sunrise, this was also great. I hope you have a great NYE whatever you end up doing!

Thanks @Cinai I was into a yoga a while back, but I don't think it's for me. Looking to dance, laugh and have a bit of light banter.
