Hi all I’ve just been prescribed sertaline for anxiety and I’m just wondering about the side effects and anyone’s experiences with it?
My anxiety is now affecting the ability for me to do my job properly and I’m on different duties temporarily which work are being great about but I want to get back to my old self.
also wondering if I’m worth trying half a tablet for a week then the full one to get my body used to it first?

@Plant2628 im in a customer facing job but within my job I had to do presentations and demonstrations for large groups of people which I had done for years as second nature. All of a sudden with anxiety I was crippled with panic about having to do them and had to ask for different roles which they were really good about. The annoying thing is the groups I had for the presentations always said they loved how I explained things but inside I was falling apart.
im actually considering trying to do one tomorrow as I would be interested in seeing how I cope with it

I don't take it anymore but when I did, the first week or so was the worst. Not mentally but physically I felt like I had a bad head cold.
At about a week in I felt better.

I found it initially horrendous. It settled down and I'm now increasing my dose by 12.5 each week as I find this doesn't give me the awful side effects. Really hope it works for you.

I’m 11 days in and no major side effects
on 50mg now too
