but i cant as im 14 weeks pregnant atm and even when i was working full time before i had my dd, the money that we bought home together, we barely had any monies to ourselves so we do rely on credit cards abit but thats is under control.

im so tempting not to tell anyone that im pg but who will take and pick my dd from the preschool every day?, and since my dp and his work partner took over his boss's window cleaning business last September we thought it will be a good thing...... no its possibly the worst thing to do!! as we are scraping for our pennies and the payers are bad payers.....At the first 5 months weve been bringing home about £200 a month!!! so we are demanding the payments now but its still struggling. Dp is carrying on till September and if its still the same, he will quit as he had tried.

im so fed up now!!

im just holding it all in atm!

oh biglips, i'm sorry that its not working out quite like you planned. things may be seeming worse because of all the hormones, make sure you are getting enough rest.

can dp and his partner organise the way they work in a different way to make sure they get paid for the work that they have done? can they get them to pay in advance vr formalise things somehow?

and have you looked into everything that you can possibly claim?

hugs, mate

Thecure · 21/03/2008 15:13

I can't afford a kid either. Which is why I haven't had a kid.

windygalestoday · 21/03/2008 15:26

i think you are low cos of hormones - look in the mirror you own a home you have a healthy dd and another on the way your dh has a job indeed his own business things could be a lot worse .......look at your incomings spend them as wisely as you can and check out everything you are entitled too speak to the people you owe money too and ask if you can take reduced payments for a while....this is only a phase it will pass and soon you will feel better about things sometimes it only takes a small thing to make the whole situation feel mountaneous but things could be a whole lot worse......you need lots of tlc and rest.

my first son was born when we had hardly any money and even now we arent rich or even halfway wealthy but i remember the days we struggled financially as some of our happiest.

i hope you feel better about things soon

Thecure · 21/03/2008 15:46

Quite right.
I read these postings and groan. Just get on with life. It's short.
You'll be dead in 50 years. Your kid will be dead in 80.
Pointlessness of it all - sure, yeah. But you either get an abortion or you get on with it.
It might not work out, but - just as much - it might.
Before then, you need to just life a considered life.

windygalestoday · 21/03/2008 15:49

bjesus thecure- say it how it is lol

Thecure · 21/03/2008 15:52

Was that too hard?
I mean, I don't have kids cos I can't afford it. How come people who DO have kids just seem to complain and complain? Or so it seems.
I mean, DON'T have them then. They are not your birthright. They are a precious gift to you. And not everyone is in the right place to accept that gift.

stoppinattwo · 23/03/2008 16:27

Thecure.............why dont you just keep your stupid postings to yourself......what a horrible attitude to have you thoughtless twunt.

BL and her DP try very hard to succeed, you dont know her situation, she doesnt need you talking like that. You are an ignorant person imo.

I dont know many people who can hand on heart afford to have kids, they manage, and it is places like this that help them manage, not people like you who give destructive advice. Dont bother responding thecure because IMO you talk a load of bollox

BL I am sorry you are having a bad time atm, you know where we are if you need us XXXX.

fruitymum · 23/03/2008 16:37

thecure - If these postings annoy you don't read them.
We all need a little TLC now and again because life is very hard for some people ...
As MIL would have said "if you can't say something nice - shut up!"

lucyellensmum · 23/03/2008 17:54

The cure, what are you doing on a parenting forum if you dont have, and don't appear that keen on having children. The feeling depressed part of this board is for people who are, well, feeling depressed. So really, unless you have been depressed and can offer a sympathetic ear, or personal experience, WITHOUT JUDGEMENT i politely suggest you fuck right off

biglips, its hard starting a business, but hang on in there, it will be worth it. What about offering a contract cleaning service too? one off cleans etc, that could fit in with your family so you can be part of the business too - really move it forward.

Do make sure you are claiming all the benefits you are entitled too as well.

Nemoandthefishes · 23/03/2008 18:06

The cure..feck off!

BLs it will get better, you know how hard we have had it and we arent rich by any means but things are nowhere near as bleak as they were when DD1 was due!!We were facing severe bankrupcyetc.

fruitymum · 23/03/2008 18:08

Biglips - much sympathy I am sure things will pick up with the business as this must be a horrible time of year to be out doing windows. Are there any businesses locally that he could approach for a regular contract? Things will get better.
