I came off sertraline 3 months ago. I was taking 25mg every other day and finally every few days. I'm in a period of jumping from one catastrophe to the next in my mind. Can anyone recommend what has worked for them in easing this? I don't want to rush back to sertraline just yet. Thanks.

When did you stop? I don't think you're meant to do every few days as it exacerbates...

You may need to go back to 25 and do that for a week or more and then reduce much more slowly

I stopped end of August so it's been 2/3 months now

I've not taken a tablet since August

I stopped in July cold turkey because I 'felt better' and the last few weeks my health anxiety is at an all-time high, so Friday I was re-prescribed them. I don't have any solution for you OP other than try to stay distracted, and if that doesn't work, maybe go back to taking the lower dose. Be kind to yourself

This isn’t a medication you should stop without talking to the person who prescribed it. You need to taper off really slowly. Over months.

I stopped in May well I tapered from 25mg and came off them around July but I'm now back on and on 50mg because the anxiety got bad and some stuff happened at work that I found very hard to deal with. The anxiety was bad. I really didn't want to go back on them

I tapered slowly. I thought I'd done it right. I'd been on them just over 5 years. I felt better and that it was time. I want to try some alternatives first but I'm well aware I may have to go back on them and that's okay. Any distractions recommended (I'm trying to read a lot), I don't exercise - no energy, work is stressful. Has anyone found supplements help, vitamin D?

DH did this earlier this year, thought he was good, tapered off sensibly, but it started a massive anxiety dip that got really bad and ended up with beta blockers for a while as the tablets kicked in again.

Its great that you’ve tried but it doesn’t work for everyone, so maybe it’s worth going back on for a while and trying to slowly replace it with something else that works?

Has anyone had luck with B12 supplements? My B12 is at the low end.
