Anyone else on sertraline and slowly recovering?

Been back on sertraline for 5 1/2 weeks and starting to see less side effects and the benefits. However, this was a relapse and I’m not back to 100% as I was for 2 1/2 years prior to this episode. I suffer from pureO so pretty chronic if untreated. I’m back in therapy and doing all the right things, and starting to see progress, but find myself checking a lot if I’m “back to normal” and almost forcing myself to feel that way - which doesn’t help. Anyone else on this journey and willing to share the experience?

Hi.
I suffer terribly from anxiety and depression and am just starting on sertraline but it’s making me feel quite spaced out and I’m only on 25mg at the moment.
My daughter suffers from Pure O and found cbt really helpful. She’s also on Anafril which has been really helpful.
I hope you start feeling better soon xx

Sorry to hear both you and your daughter are struggling. The first weeks on sertraline are really tough… I’m just coming out of the side effects period now and it’s been really hard pushing through every day. I hope you have an easier start!

I have been on sertraline for years and it's helped enormously.

Thanks! I was so well on it for 2 1/2 years! What got into to me when I decided to stop it, I don’t know… the regret is real…

Hi all I have been taking 50mg for 5 weeks now and feel no difference. The Dr's said they would up it to 100mg on the 11th if no change. But should I have started to feel abit different by now or am I not depressed.

Any advice
Sal

Hi Sal
sorry to hear you’re struggling. How long have you been unwell for? Sometimes if we have struggles a long while time is also very important.. 50 has never been enough for me of it helps, and even on 100 and 6 weeks in I’m still not there yet. It takes a lot of patience. Sending love. Keep up updated x
