Could be a quote you like, something someone did that made your day today or any day in the past, something you’re looking forward to, whatever you like!

for me I challenged my anxiety and spoke in a social situation I never would normally have

DD secured me & DH tickets for Take That! Woo Hoo! And Olly Murs is supporting - love him!

Bohobetty0 · 29/09/2023 18:45

@RabbitsRock OMG! So jealous love take that, my fav song of theirs is probably patience I think. You are one lucky mummy and have clearly raised a lovely DD

After a couple of years of seeing my teenage son spiral downwards into depression, anxiety and ending up smoking weed and cutting school, he has now turned a corner (with a lot of help and support) and I feel like I am getting my son back.

Bohobetty0 · 29/09/2023 18:52

@NosyJosie Oh Josie I am so so happy for you. As someone who struggled so much as a teenager myself, with similar issues I know your son must absolutely treasure you and will be so thankfully one day that you stood by him through it all. Sending so much hugs and love🤗

I went out for the first time with my 6 month old in her running buggy. We only ran a few miles but I am so proud of us!

I got invited to visit my friend in a capital city abroad! It's a neighbouring country, so not very far away, but I am really looking forward to it, of course to see my friend, but also to visit the city!

I feel on an even keel 6 weeks 4 days since I didn't see any future and only 1 way out.

BristolBlueGlasses · 02/10/2023 21:01

A new friend who I met a few months ago has turned out to be totally lovely, wise and kind.

ShipshapeShore · 02/10/2023 21:03

Children in my class being supportive of each other - wanting things for their classmates rather than themselves and congratulating each other for having a go etc. And one little boy earnestly asked me how my day was going.

They can be quite challenging at times but these little things are such a delight 😊

That is great news indeed xx

I’ve got so many positives from today:
got up early and had a swim before sorting kids for school
very productive day at work completing a long project and had some wonderful feedback so far
made really good soup for lunch (mine are normally crap!)
cooked a lovely healthy dinner which everyone ate
had a nice walk after dinner with dd2 (she has mental health struggles so this was a lovely bonding time for us and we had a really nice lighthearted walk and talk)

sorry for the showing off about my positives but I’m really trying to embrace the good at the moment, life is tough right now in the trenches of dealing with teenagers.

This is really lovely to read 💐

You had an amazing day! That’s worth celebrating and you sound like you have your hands full so you deserve it!

PS - cant beat a good soup

I’m still here. Two weeks ago I took an overdose and I still feel desperate every day but I haven’t succumbed again yet and I’m proud of that. I also left the house for a 15 minute dog walk when leaving the house causes me intense anxiety. Oh and I cooked dinner which sounds ridiculous but is a huge deal for me at the moment!

CrapBucket · 02/10/2023 22:07

Some massive achievements on here! So lovely to see people getting one step further along. Mine is boring but someone gave me something for my home today. I am trying to furnish it all second hand cheap or free, but not tatty - I did loads and then stalled for a while. This item looks perfect and I think it will motivate me to sort a few more bits and pieces out. Maybe one day I will even paint the walls, who knows…

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 02/10/2023 22:23

Scutterbug that's amazing.

I'm almost 7 weeks but those early days were hard.

Sending you comfort in knowing I'm glad you're still here
